What We Love in Oxford

Top-Notch Schools

Oxford is part of two schools systems: Oxford School District and Lafayette County School District. Both of these top-notch systems give students some of the best educational opportunities within the area. There are 12 combined schools within both districts, as well as multiple private schools to choose from. Additionally, students looking to pursue higher education have plenty of options, including the University of Mississippi and Northwest Mississippi Community College

Delicious Dining Options

Oxford has some of the most unique dining options in the area—it's a melting pot of Southern cuisine and other international influences. One of our favorite spots is City Grocery. Don't let the name fool you—this is one of the coolest spots to eat in Oxford, and it's James Beard winner John Currence's signature restaurant. We also love Saint Leo for some of the best Italian fare or The Landshark Cajun Seafood Eatery & Bar for delicious seafood. With so many spots to choose from, it's time to try something new!

Shop Until You Drop

What makes Oxford the perfect shopping destination? Well, its proximity to both locally owned businesses and larger retailers make it the perfect blend of suburban charm and urban convenience. If you're looking to support local businesses, you've got to explore The Square. This historic part of downtown has tons of stores you won't find anywhere else, and it also serves as a cultural center for the town. Additionally, Midtown Shopping Center has tons of bigger stores you'll love.
