Public school students in Union County belong to one of two districts—Union County School District or New Albany School District. Both districts have seen lots of recent updates to their curriculum, programming, and their facilities. Union County is also home to a satellite campus of Northeast Mississippi Community College, as well as a few private and alternative schools.
Union County is centrally located between Tupelo and Memphis, along the intersections of I-22, Route 15, and Route 30. County seat New Albany is about 75 miles from Memphis and only 20 miles from Tupelo.
